We can feed thousands
Seeing it was the beginningShare A Meal exists to close a small, dependable part of that gap, reaching the children that regular meal support misses, with food held to the same standard as everything else Foodlink serves. Not once, but again and again, so a good meal becomes somethingthey can count on.
Good intention begins the work.
Good systems let it continue.
01A genuine need is identified
Schools, hospitals and community institutions submit a request, or are introduced through verified partners. The team reviews beneficiaries, existing support, location, dietary needs and feasibility.
02A service plan is created
Menu, quantity, cost, preparation schedule, transport and distribution date are planned in advance.
03Meals are prepared and served
Foodlink's culinary and operations teams prepare fresh meals and coordinate safe delivery to the institution.
04Every distribution is recorded
Meal count, menu, date, cost, institution and supporting documentation are added to the Share A Meal Impact Ledger.
The ambition is not to
make the largest claim.
It is to build a programme
that keeps its promise.
- A stronger institutional network
Recurring relationships with schools, hospitals and community organisations, so support returns rather than arrives once.
- A standard operating framework
Consistent processes for requests, costing, preparation, delivery and reporting, repeatable at every distribution.
- Greater public transparency
Accessible records of meals, costs and dates, kept open as the programme grows.
- Careful expansion
Reaching more institutions and cities, only when the model can deliver there consistently.
Bring us a need. Back a distribution.
Help build what comes next.
Request meal support
Schools, hospitals and registered community organisations can request a distribution. Tell us who the children are, how many, where, and any dietary needs. Every request is reviewed for feasibility and existing support.
Fund a meal distribution
One recorded meal costs approximately ₹ 50. That covers fresh ingredients, preparation, safe transport and the record that follows. You can fund a single distribution, a month at one institution, or the programme's needs as a whole.
Partner with us
We welcome partnerships with food businesses, nutrition professionals and organisations working with children. Some bring reach, some bring expertise, some help fund the model as it grows.
Years in Perspective
How it began,
and how it grew
After the lockdown, Ayanna saw first-hand how many families around her had lost what she had always taken for granted. Instead of another one-off gift, she set out to build something that would last.
The first drive: 250 fresh meals served at SPRJ Kanyashala, Ghatkoper, Mumbai, prepared in Foodlink's kitchens
SPRJ Kanyashala, Ghatkoper, Mumbai, became our first institution on a regular schedule, so a single drive became a routine children could count on.
1,00,000 meals crossed, with every distribution recorded in the Impact Ledger.
108 drives and 2,70,000+ meals. From 2022, the focus was on doing the work: serving meals and building the systems behind them. In 2026, the focus turns to growth. Now 16, Ayanna is shaping the programme's next chapter. She launched this website, so schools and hospitals can request meals and supporters can donate, and an Instagram account to share our work more widely. As participation grows, we hope to onboard more partners like SPRJ Kanyashala and bring them regular, dependable meals.
